Private residence, District 2

A private client wanted a hotel-grade wellness room indistinguishable from the architecture of the house — and a service relationship the household staff would carry, not the client.

Engagement record

Brief

A private residence required a wellness room indistinguishable from the rest of the house — restrained material palette, no commercial-gym visual language, and a quietly run aftercare relationship operating through the household and architect.

Approach

Equipment specification was led by the architect’s package, with finish and structural variables exposed for studio sign-off. A bespoke joinery wall absorbed visible footprint. A quarterly preventative-maintenance regime is run by a named technician through the architect’s studio.

What we would do differently

We added an acoustic pre-read to our residential standard the day after this project completed. It now runs on every private engagement.

We expected to be sold equipment. Instead we were given a plan that disappeared into the architecture. The household runs the relationship, not the client.
